What you’ll need to make these chocolate cookies

  • all-purpose flour
  • baking soda
  • salt
  • butter
  • brown sugar
  • sugar
  • egg
  • vanilla extract
  • dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • sea ​​salt

How to make these chocolate chip cookies

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 ° F and place the rack in the center.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, with baking soda and salt then set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, and sugar to obtain a creamy mixture. Add the egg and vanilla extract, then stir well.
  4. Add the flour mixture, stir to obtain a homogeneous dough, then incorporate the chocolate chips.
  5. Shape dough into balls of about 1 tbsp. and place on an ungreased baking sheet, spacing about 5 cm (2 inches) apart.
  6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes depending on the desired level of tenderness.
  7. Remove from the oven, then sprinkle with fleur de sel. Leave to rest for a few minutes before tasting.

If you wish, you can add ½ cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts.
